A Global Network Rooted in Umunya

The Umunya Professionals Association (UPA) is a distinguished network of accomplished professionals — doctors, lawyers, engineers, academics, entrepreneurs, artists, and public servants — who trace their roots to Umunya, a historic town in Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State, Nigeria. Our members span Nigeria, North America, Europe, Asia, and beyond, united by a common origin and a shared commitment to the advancement of Umunya.

Association Established

UPA was formally established by Umunya professionals at home and in the diaspora, united by the conviction that organised collective action could transform their community.

Growth

500+ Members Worldwide

UPA's membership grew to span Nigeria, North America, Europe, and Asia — bringing together over 500 accomplished professionals across every major sector.

Impact

Community Programmes Launch

Medical outreach camps, scholarship programmes, infrastructure advocacy, and youth empowerment initiatives — UPA's impact on the ground became concrete and measurable.

2024

Umunya Summit of Tomorrow

November 23, 2024 — UPA convened the Umunya Summit of Tomorrow, adopting the Pact for the Future of Umunya and committing the community to seven pillars of action.
