Engr. Chukwuemeka Obiora

Engr. Chukwuemeka Obiora serves as Director of Infrastructure and Development for the Umunya Professionals Association, overseeing the association's major capital projects and development programmes in Umunya. A civil engineer with over two decades of experience in infrastructure planning and project management across Nigeria and West Africa, Engr. Obiora brings technical expertise and practical project delivery experience to one of UPA's most critical portfolios. Roads, bridges, drainage systems, public buildings, and utilities — these are the sinews of a functioning community, and Engr. Obiora is committed to ensuring that Umunya has the infrastructure its people deserve. He has led UPA's engagement with government contractors and Anambra State's infrastructure agencies, ensuring that community needs are properly articulated and that projects once funded are delivered to standard. He has also developed a community infrastructure audit — a comprehensive assessment of Umunya's current infrastructure gaps and priorities — which now serves as the basis for UPA's development advocacy with government at all levels. Engr. Obiora is a firm believer in the power of the diaspora to complement government efforts in building sustainable communities, and he has mobilised significant private resources from UPA members for infrastructure projects that have improved the daily lives of Umunya residents.
