Barrister Onyechi Egwuonwu

Barrister Onyechi Egwuonwu serves as Legal Adviser to the Umunya Professionals Association, providing expert legal counsel to the executive board and the association at large. A distinguished member of the Nigerian Bar, Barrister Egwuonwu brings extensive expertise in corporate law, land tenure, constitutional matters, and community governance. He has been invaluable in advising the association on matters of legal compliance, dispute resolution, property rights advocacy, and the structuring of formal agreements with government agencies and development partners. Beyond his formal advisory role, Barrister Egwuonwu has represented UPA at high-level engagements with the Anambra State Government, the Oyi Local Government Authority, and traditional institutions. His deep knowledge of the legal landscape in Anambra State, combined with his personal connection to Umunya, makes him uniquely positioned to advocate for the community's rights and interests. He has been a champion of UPA's advocacy work on infrastructure development — particularly road construction, land registration, and utility access — and has helped the association navigate complex bureaucratic processes to deliver results for the people of Umunya.
